Each year at this particular event, a notable group of fans can be seen and heard in the grandstands cheering on their local nitro-hero, Chris Streeter. This year will be no different as he hopes to deliver for his fans once again.

Streeter of nearby Cleveland, OH is a 2-time national champion (2003 & 2005)) in the Pro Fuel category. He's already earned three wins this season and currently he leads the national points chase.

Streeter credits the success of his Lake Erie Racing team to a lot of work on the bike that easily reaches speeds in excess of 200mph in just over six seconds. Most of that work started in the middle of the 2007 season. Streeter says the bike underwent major changes that brought with it a lot of struggling to get the tune-up just right.

"We changed the heads, pistons, and the whole top end of the motor, including the injection system", Streeter explained. Following his recent win at Atlanta Dragway, his third of the year, Streeter said, " Now that we have that all worked out, we are able to tune the bike without treading water so much. It's a whole lot more fun this way".
